Secretary Arsenio M. Balisacan, together with Regional Development Group Undersecretary Carlos Bernardo O. Abad Santos, visited NEDA Davao at the NEDA-RDC XI Center on December 1, 2022. They are joined by the Mr. Danilo Lorenzo S. Atanacio from the Office of the Secretary as well as Ms. Fresita S. Araneta and Ms. Marie Antonette T. Matibag from the Regional Development Staff.

After an ocular inspection of the NEDA-RDC XI Center premises which houses the NEDA Davao Office, RD Maria Lourdes D. Lim, together with ARD Gilberto A. Altura, and the Division Chiefs and ONE President of NEDA Davao, provided a briefing for the Secretary and his party on NEDA Davao’s activities, initiatives, and accomplishments, as well as the status of the Davao Regional Development Plan preparation, and the status of the R&D study on the Establishment of Creative Industries Roadmap in Davao Region.

In response, Secretary Balisacan commended NRO XI for its accomplishments and initiatives in the Region, and provided guidance on the collaboration with other stakeholders to gain greater chances of success in the Office’s endeavors. Undersecretary Abad Santos also commended the Office on its efforts particularly on its partnerships with the State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Davao Region for the digitalization of NEDA Davao’s processes which after completion, may be replicated in other NEDA Regional Offices.
