The NEDA Regional Office (NRO) XI achieved another milestone in the implementation of its Quality Management System (QMS) when it satisfactorily hurdled the online re-assessment audit conducted by the Certification International Philippines, Inc. (CIPI) on 22 February 2021. The ISO 9001:2015 Certificate of Registration was issued on 24 May 2021 by the CIPI and shall be valid until 4 May 2024, with annual surveillance audits. CIPI awarded the Certificate of Registration to this NRO for conforming with the ISO 9001:2015 standard under the areas of planning and policy formulation; project development, investment programming and budgeting; project monitoring and evaluation; and development research.
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 is an international standard based on several quality management principles which include continual improvement of business processes which will ensure conformity with customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, among others. Being an ISO 9001:2015-certified organization, NRO XI shall consistently provide quality outputs and services to its stakeholders, based on internationally accepted standards.
The NRO XI Management’s initiative started in year 2012 when internal and external experts were tapped to assist the Office in developing a QMS that documents Office business processes, procedures and responsibilities for achieving quality policies and objectives. On May 5, 2015, NRO XI commenced the full operation of an ISO-certified QMS under ISO 9001:2008 standard.
