Davao City, March 1, 2023 – NEDA XI through its Sub-Committee on Anti-Red Tape (Sub-CART) recently collaborated with the Anti-Red Tape Authority Eastern Mindanao Regional Field Office (ARTA EM RFO) in the conduct of a face-to-face Orientation on the RA 11032 or The Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 on March 1, 2023, following through on one of their agreements after the Coordination Meeting on February 3, 2023. 

Regional Director Maria Lourdes D. Lim opened the activity with an overview of NEDA XI’s mandates and functions, and the importance of RA 11032 on how it may further improve NEDA XI’s processes. RD Lim likewise expressed the NRO’s firm commitment in partnering with the ARTA EM RFO in implementing the Marcos Administration’s 7th Socioeconomic Agenda on the enhancement of bureaucratic processes. 

The ARTA EM RFO was represented by OIC-CAO Eldie C. Barrientos, who shared on the mandate and functions of the Anti-Red Tape Authority, as well as, Attorney III Lord Anthony A. Pusod, who discussed the salient features of RA 11032. 

An open forum discussion followed, where NEDA XI officials and staff asked for further guidance and clarification on how RA 11032 may be effectively implemented in the NRO. The activity was concluded with Assistant Regional Director and NEDA XI Sub-CART Chairperson Gilberto A. Altura expressing appreciation to the Resource Persons for imparting knowledge to the NEDA XI staff, and to the NRO staff for actively participating in the very productive activity. – Raizza Mae D.
