Davao Region’s Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa Program – Information and Communication Team (BP2P-ICT) tackled the status of Davao Region’s BP2P communication and advocacy activities during its 2nd Quarter 2022 BP2P-ICT Meeting on 01 June 2022 at 1:00PM-3:30PM via Zoom Platform.
The Philippine Information Agency (PIA) XI updated the body on its BP2P communication activities for 2nd Quarter 2022 which include the conduct of three virtual pressers with the members of its Speakers’ Bureau and BP2P focal persons of the National Housing Authority (NHA) XI, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) XI and Department of Agriculture (DA) XI. Guidelines on applying for the Program, as well as the benefits of the accepted applicants were among the highlighted messages in the virtual pressers. PIA XI also reported that the production of news stories and sharing them to different media partners were sustained.
Davao del Norte, the lone Provincial LGU in Davao Region with a successful dispatch to date, remains active in campaigning the Program through its “One DavNor Network.” Meanwhile, NHA XI has been proactive in sharing updates on the program as provided by the National BP2 Council through its Facebook Page. Majority of the contents are reiteration on the objectives of the Program, its enrollment process, and dispatch timelines. DSWD XI as the lead agency for eligibility assessment, has also maintained its efforts in providing timely releases for the integration of the benefits for BP2P beneficiaries to their regular programs. DTI XI has continued its weekly postings on opportunities that can be availed by the beneficiaries through its Facebook Page, and has conducted one stakeholders meeting in Panabo City, Davao del Norte. Finally, the DILG XI has completed its capacity development activities for the Davao Region LGUs in CY 2021.
All these communication and advocacy efforts were geared to support the implementation of the BP2P in Davao Region. The NHA XI also reported that a total of 478 individuals are recommended for send-off to Davao Region as of May 15, 2022.
